Most Famous Mahatma Gandhi Quotes:

  • Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.
  • Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
  • Hate the sin, love the sinner.
  • I believe in equality for everyone, except reporters and photographers.
  • I cannot teach you violence, as I do not myself believe in it. I can only teach you not to bow your heads before any one even at the cost of your life.http://hallosushant.blogspot.com/
  • Indolence is a delightful but distressing state; we must be doing something to be happy.
  • The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
  • Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.
  • Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right.
  • Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary.

Top 10 Gandhi Quotes:

2. Government
What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?

3. Self-Help
The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still voice within.

4. Government
It may be long before the law of love will be recognized in international affairs. The machinery of government stand between and hide the hearts of one people from those of another.

5. God
As soon as we lose the moral basis, we cease to be religious. There is no such thing as religion over-riding morality. Man, for instance, cannot be untruthful, cruel or incontinent and claim to have God on his side.

6. Life
There is more to life than simply increasing its speed.

7. Change
We must be the change we wish to see.

The moment there is suspicion about a person’s motives, everything he does becomes tainted.

Suffering cheerfully endured, ceases to be suffering and is transmuted into an ineffable joy.

Gandhi Jayanti: UN observes 2nd October as the "International Day of Non-violence"

138th Gandhi Jayanti
UN observes 2nd October

as the
"International Day of Non-violence"

INDIA OF MY DREAMS
I shall work for an India in which the poorest shall feel that it is their country, in whose making they have an effective voice, an India in which there shall be no high class and low class of people; an India in which all communities shall live in perfect harmony. There can be no room in such an India for the curse of untouchability, or the curse of intoxicating drinks and drugs. Women will enjoy the same rights as man. We shall be at peace with all the rest of the world. This is the India of my dreams.
-Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
